How is the money distributed?
Streams and profile views are ranked, meaning a stream is more worth than a profile view. The exact relation between these three income-options can be varied from period to period.

How do I earn money?
As a musician you earn money on upatune.com, simply by creating a profile. Two things increase your earnings at upatune.com:

Profile views: when a user logged in at upatune.com visits your profile.

Streams: when a user logged in at upatune.com streams one of your tunes. This can be through your own profile, through Upatune Radio, or when your tunes is streamed via another profile at upatune.com.


These two income-options are ranked, meaning a stream is more worth than a profile view. Therefore by telling your friends to go to your profile and stream your music, you can increase your earnings.

Note that when a user stream a tunes, this is registered so the same user cannot increase the earnings of a musician by streaming the same tune many times. The same goes for profile views as well. Therefore make many different user go to your profile and stream your music (so many people get to hear your music) instead of having few users viewing your profile and streaming your music.

How do I increase my earnings?
There is almost unlimited ways to increase your earnings at upatune.com. It is only your imagination that sets the boundaries. Some good suggestions to earn more money of your profile are:

• Send out emails to your friends and relatives with a link to your profile url
• Hang up posters in your local area, school, work etc.
• Place banners linking to your profile at other websites
• Create your own promotion material (flyers, t-shirts, businnes cards etc. to promote your profile url)
• Tell people about your profile

No you don't. Unless you already have a moneybookers.com account, we will send you an email with a link to moneybookers.com. Just click this link and sign up at moneybookers.com (signing up is free) and you will have your money available at your normal bank account via moneybookers.com.

Since upatune.com constantly being optimized the amount of money you recieve will be influenced as well.

For example more advertises at upatune.com will increase the earnings, but to many makes it irretating to surf the site. It's a fine line. What you can do is to be aware of the advertises and click on them if you find them interresting... and make a lot of people go to upatune.com. Then we will do everything we can to make sure the advertisements are good.

Oh yeah one more thing. Upatune.com is one of the only places on the internet where musicians can earn money of their music without others having to pay for it, if you already have a music profile at another website you might as well create one at upatune.com and link to your upatune profile from your other music profiles. You might as well earn some money of your original music right?
